Spotlight on Recent Immigrants: Influences of Cultural Background on Cooking and Eating
May 21, 2020Currently, 1 in 4 U.S. residents is either a 1st- or 2nd-generation immigrant; that is, either born elsewhere or with at least one parent born elsewhere. This is a large and dynamic population, concentrated in major metropolitan areas that are already centers of culinary innovation. In their kitchens and in the culinary world, this group is driving innovation and desire for exploration.
